Power coop gives health services to 300 NV villagers

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Nov. 6 (PIA) - A recent medical services given by the Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative (NUVELCO) benefited at least 300 poor villagers in Bagabag town.

Virgilio Montano, NUVELCO acting manager said the free medical and dental services was conducted at barangay Murong in Bagabag town in the northern part of the province.

"This is a bi-annual medical services which is given to poor villagers because we wanted to return the blessings received by our cooperative and as our way of helping our poor sectors," he said.

Montano added that the activity was conducted in line with the cooperative's 47th Founding Anniversary celebration.

Free medicines , vitamins and snacks were also served during the medical services in Bagabag town.

The free medical services was rolled out as part of the cooperative's social obligation for Novo Vizcayanos, NUVELCO officials further said.

Other past community activities of NUVELCO were assistance during relief operations, giving of free school supplies to poor schoolers, among others.

The medical and dental services was supported by the Provincial Integrated Health Office (PIHO), Municipal Health Office (MHO) of Bagabag and other health, medical and benevolent organizations in the province. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
