BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Nov. 14 (PIA)--The provincial government here, through its Provincial Social Welfare and Development (PSWDO), has provided financial assistance to various villagers and workers in the province.
Flordelina Granada, PSWD Officer, said that from January to October 2019, at least 402 Child Development Workers (CDWs) were given P500.00 monthly allowance each through the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Program.
She added that under the Special Education Fund (SEF) and the PLGU's 20 percent Development Fund, five Child Development Centers (CDCs) will also be constructed and rehabilitated through the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO).
On Nutrition Program, Granada said 205 underweight and severely underweight preschool children outside of the CDCs were beneficiaries of their feeding programs.
The PSWDO also gave educational assistance to five persons with disability where two of them are taking up Bachelor of Arts in Communication at the St. Mary's University (SMU) here.
"We also provided financial assistance to 85 SPED schoolers with special education needs. They underwent extensive assessment to determine the extent and level of their condition," Granada said.
On the conditional transfer initiatives, Granada said 25 beneficiaries were given with livelihood assistance where six are being processed and 10 proposals are also being validated and evaluated. (ALM/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
