DIADI, Nueva Vizcaya, Feb. 21(PIA) - At least 500 villagers in this town recently received free health services from a power firm.
Lawyer Mike Hosillos, VP-Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of SNAP Group, said the medical and dental services were rolled out by the SN Aboitiz Power-Magat (SNAP-Magat) and the local government unit.
"A renewable energy solutions provider, SN Aboitiz Power-Magat (SNAP-Magat) has been giving the health services to this municipality for 12 years," he said.
Hosillos said the services offered were general health consultation, dental, pre-natal, and pediatric check-ups, as well as distribution of free medicines to the poor villagers.
Mayor Sandy Gayaton said they were grateful for being the recipient of the power firm's yearly medical and dental services which serves as one of the power firm's legacies in this town.
"Through the continued support of SNAP, together, we are able to develop residents' awareness on the importance of proper health care," the mayor said.
