CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, May 28 (PIA) -- Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Provincial Office resumed the distribution of allowances to scholars as Pampanga shifted to a Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine.

These include 75 scholar-graduates who have successfully completed their skills training under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act-Tertiary Education Subsidy 2019 (UAQTEA-TES 2019) and 69 under the Special Training for Employment Program 2019 (STEP 2019).

"The training allowances that we distributed will surely be of big help to their families amidst this pandemic aside from the fact that they have attended a free training with free assessment," TESDA Provincial Director Eric Ueda said.

Trainings completed by UAQTEA-TES 2019 scholars include Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I, Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding NC II.

"They completed the program at the J. C. E. Advance Technical School and Assessment Center Inc. Each training was participated by 25 scholars," Ueda disclosed.

Moreover, STEP 2019 allowance recipients include 22 scholars who finished Cookery NC II at the Holy Child of Mary College under the scholarship allocation of Pampanga 3rd district representative Aurelio Gonzales Jr.; 25 scholars who completed the qualification Beauty Care (Nail Care) Services NC II at the John Gabriel Technological Institute Inc. under the scholarship allocation of Pampanga 4th district representative Juan Pablo Bondoc; and 22 scholars who finished Cookery NC II at the West Central College of Arts and Science Inc.
