BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya , May 29 (PIA)- The provincial government is planning to bring home more than 600 Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) and Overseas Foreign Workers (OFWs) in the province.
Robert Corpuz, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer said the LSIs and OFWs are all Novo Vizcayanos from various municipalities here who signified their intention to be assisted under the OPLAN Awid Kontra COVID of the PLGU.
"We are processing their required documents so that there will be no delays and issues along the way once we fetch them," he said.
Corpuz said that two weeks ago, they were able to bring home LSIs and OFWs in batches after the completion of their documents and inter-local government unit coordination.
Governor Carlos Padilla also urged the cooperation of all OFW Novo Vizcayanos and others considered as LSIs to cooperate and comply with the requirements to avoid being stopped along checkpoints by government authorities.
"We will bring you home but please cooperate and comply with our requirements and guidelines. This is to ensure everyone's safety, we care for your safety and your loved ones that is why we are doing this to keep it that way," he said.# (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
