Danish, Bengali Premiers discuss climate, trade

DHAKA, Bangladesh - Denmark, and Bangladesh have committed to collaborate for mutual benefit on climate change and infrastructure development challenges.

Both countries expressed their enthusiasm when Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen called Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday afternoon to commemorate Bangladesh's golden jubilee and 50 years of diplomatic relations.

Ihsanul Karim, the Prime Minister's Press Secretary, informed the media following the phone discussion.

During the discussions, both premiers thanked and congratulated each other on the two historical milestones in Bangladesh.

They also expressed a desire to collaborate on other topics of common interest, such as business, trade, and commerce.

Sheikh Hasina congratulated Denmark's prime minister on her victory as the country's second female and youngest prime minister in history.
